Tajikistan – Sugar imports rise in 2012

Tajikistan’s sugar imports since the beginning of 2012 increased by 18,000 tonnes over last year to 110,500, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade said on December 12.

Tajikistan’s main supplier is Belarus with a 23.1% share, followed by Russia with 17.3%. Azerbaijan also started deliveries this year with a 2.1% share in total imports, with smaller deliveries coming from Iran, Afghanistan and some other countries, the ministry added.
