Sugarcane production in Brazil could reach 595.13 million tons


The National Supply Company (Conab) of Brazil released its third report of the production of sugar cane in 2012/13. According to the report, the crushing should increase 6.5%, from 560.36 million tonnes in the previous crop to 595.13 million tonnes in the current.

According to the Company, in relation to sugar production, it is expected an increase of 4.72%, totaling 37.66 million. Moreover, the total yield of ethanol will decrease 5.22%, from 24,93 billion to 23,62 billion liters.
