Sugar vessels in line in Brazilian port

In this last March 6, the Port of Santos had 40 vessels in queue to board sugar, according to the shipping agency Williams Brazil (boats already anchored, waiting berthing and expected to arrive until April 4).

Santos will receive 88% of total scheduled shipped, ie 1.090 million tons, the second is Paranaguá, with 8% of the total and third, Maceió with 4% of shipments.

From the total of 1,315,000 tons of sugar scheduled, most of the volume 1,141,000, is VHP.

Market – Market analysts believe in a high in sugar exports in the first quarter of 2013, driven by shipments of deals closed when prices were higher and the need to drain the excess production of the current season.
