Sao Paulo will have green stamp and benefits for investments in bioelectricity

The state of Sao Paulo will launch a green label for companies that consume only renewable energy in its production chain, particularly the biomass from sugarcane bagasse and other solid waste.

The intention is to broaden the participation of “clean” energy in the energy matrix of the state by granting tax benefits to investments in bioelectricity.

The government is considering measures such as reducing taxes for the renewal of boilers that process the sugar cane bagasse, a temporary postponement of tax payment and partnerships with CPFL, which would take care of the distribution of energy produced by power plants, including building substations.
