An ethanol plant in South Bend, north of the U.S. state of Indiana will restart production after a year closed. The unit which is considered the oldest producer of ethanol in the state, with nearly 30 years of existence, was acquired by Noble Group, according to a statement released on Monday, November 4.

The unit was closed last year when the former owners, New Energy Corp., filed for bankruptcy. A new owner bought the mill at auction in January for $ 2.5 million, and then sold it to Noble Group
