Germans want to install refinery in Zambia to get into new market

The Nordzucker, the second largest sugar refinery in Germany, plans to build a refinery in Zambia, at a cost of about $ 300 million, according to information from the International Reuters.
Zambia has been highlighted as a good destination for investments in the international sugar market and, according to a spokesman for German refinery, production plans of raw sugar in the African country, are at an advanced stage and are monitored daily by the board advisory company.
With the end of regulation in the sugar market from 2017, the European Union, European producers with high productivity seek locations where demand for sugar is increasing significantly as Africa and Asia.
