Brazil’s Center-South crushed 535.71 million tons of cane, says Datagro


Datagro released today its forecast for the end of season 2012/13 in the Center-South of Brazil. With few plants still in operation, the cycle is nearly ended, with a crushing of 535.71 million tons, 8.6% up compared to the previous harvest.

In the accumulated harvest, the yield was 73.3 tons / ha, 8.0% higher than in 2011/12, and lower than the average of the past five years of 9.8%. In the state of São Paulo, the cane crops accumulated average yield of 10.65% higher than in 2011/12.
