Brazilian sugar exports fall but remains higher than last year

Brazil exported 2.917 million tonnes of sugar, raw value, in November 2012, less than last months, when the volume reached record 3.998 million tonnes but still up significantly from 2.518 million shipped in the same month last year, according to data published by the Foreign Trade Ministry.

Raw sugar exports increased from 2.12 million to 2.30 million tonnes in the corresponding month last year, while white sugar exports increased to 567,400 tonnes from 365,800 last year.
