Brazilian Petrobras will produce 29% more ethanol

Brazil’s state-controlled oil producer, Petrobras, will probably produce 1.06 billion liters of ethanol in the next season, 29% up compared to this season, newspaper Valor Economico reported.

Petrobras Biocombustivel SA is expecting an increase in the production due to the increase in sugarcane plantations and better weather, which should boost yield, the newspaper said, citing Miguel Rossetto, CEO of Petrobras’s biofuel arm.
