Asia will be responsible for most of the world´s sugar consumption growth

Sugar global demand is likely to increase by 25-30 million tonnes by the end of the decade, and Asia expected to account for most of the world’s consumption growth this decade, according to LMC International.

According to Suhrid Patel, LMC International’s representative, as consumption continues to grow, production still needs to expand. However, other locations are now more competitive than in the past.
